One of my female cats often pees like a male cat in the litter box....standing straight up. Sometimes she squats like a little girl should. Sometimes she starts out squatting and ends up in a full standing position. Sometimes she just walks in, stands, and pees against the wall of the litter box. The problem is, when she does this, she often makes it over the top of the litter box and onto the wall & floor. The litter boxes are the high back rubbermaid ones. Does anyone else have a female cat who pees like a male cat? Is this normal behavior or do I have a unique cat?

oh...Princess Pepsi used to do this, then I realised the cat-lit was way too deep for her
she is a fuss-pot though. She is also very picky if one of my other cats has "been" before her, she rushes in wees - like - you can hear it - they flies out

Maybe your kitty is a fussy one too ?!!?

Gizmo sometimes does an 'up and over' routine. I think it is some sort of dominance thing.
She doesn't do it too often, thankfully.

both my males and females squat , they all pee the same way ?? i just thought this was the norm? lol but i have to agree my females do not like to much litter in there boxs, if i do fill it up a bit much then they will spend 5 mins scraping most of it to the other side.

My males have always squatted (never had females so don't know if it's a different posture) - as far as I know that's normal unless they're spraying?
