Hi guys I really need some advice. My kitten started vomiting yesterday and retching the day before. She refuses to eat. She was spayed about a week ago but just started having these symptoms. I called her vet and he said it was probably a hairball. I gave her the hairball paste yesterday and today. She hasn't vomitted again but she still won't eat. I'm at a loss at what's wrong with her. I really don't think it's a hairball though. I think I'm just going to take her to the vet but I really want to avoid that if possible. Does anyone know of anything I can do for her at home.

This is my first post BTW, so HI!!

Welcome to TCS. Might wanna wait for some further advice from the mentors here, but I'd say a vet visit is in order.

Please take her to the vet, especially as she is not eating. That on it's own merits at vet visit, as not eating can quickly lead to liver failure in cats.

I'll move this to the health forum, but you should really take your kitten to the vet to get checked over, plus if she isn't drinking she could become dehydrated

Let us know what happens.
