I still think my cats head looks little. She is 5 months old now and all legs and tail. She is the skinniest things you've ever seen. You'd think I didn't feed her well! I've been waiting and waiting for her to grow fat enough that she can sleep in the cage but she is still too skinny. The space between the bars is only 2-1/2 inches.

Mostly, I want her head to grow, it looks small for her body. LOL

How long would you say is normal for a cats tail? I look at my cat Isabel and think her tail looks normal, and the cat before that... I never thought his tail looked abnoral, never even thought about it. My little muffin, Sarah, has such a long skinny tail! I guess everything about her is long and skinny. But, proportionately, her tail looks so much longer than that of my other cat.

Hmmm.... I don't know what I wanted to know exactly. I think she is going to grow into a big skinny girl.

Yeah, kittens can look pretty weird sometimes when they're growing. You just notice it more in some cats than in others. They usually even out by the time they're 1. As long as your cat is gaining weight as she grows, don't worry about her being too skinny. I have one who is 2.5 months old, and I weigh her every week to check, because she is going through that skinny stage now. But she gains several ounces a week, and is up to 3 pounds 2 ounces last Friday.

As for tails, I've seen all kinds. I looked after a very big and fat cat who had a tiny tail - it looked like she was wearing someone else's tail, because it was differently coloured than her body as well as being the "wrong" size. I have another cat who is regular size, but whose tail is very long and bushy and broad, and her sons' tails are even longer. I saw them when they were just a few months old (when we adopted her), and they looked more like monkeys than cats.

My little one can also curl her tail a lot more than my other cat. i like that too. She often falls asleep on the floor laying on her side with her legs tucked up close and her talk going out at a straight angle with a tight curl at the end.
