I just had an idea....I'm going to be putting an add out in the local paper this week so I can start interviewing potential homes and I thought once I do get their homes picked out, I should refer them to thecatsite.com for additional support besides me. WHadda yah all think???

Sure, why not. That way you may get to see them grow up too.

Ya that would be cool and you can find out about the kittens and how they are and you also get to see them growing up that would be really good...I think thats a great idea lol

See, I was just thinking of how I'd miss them and how I could keep in contact with people...and I know that as a pet owner, I always have questions and if someone had refered me to this site earlier, it would have been so much more helpful!

I think that getting to see mah kitties grow up is just an added (HUGE) bonus! Plus it would help to raise responsible pet ownership in my area (needs some reforms!!!)

There is a package of documents which go to every kitten buyer who purchases a kitten from me ... one of the things included with that package is the current issue of KittyBytes - the TCS Newsletter. I print it off and place it in the envelope along with care instructions, copies of vet statements ... normally, there are very informative and educational articles in every issue (and let us not forget the hints for the upcoming Scavenger Hunt!!) so it seems a no-brainer to include one with every kitten going out!

hehe that is a good idea....I've never actually made it to the rehomeing stages before *and it's getting harder* by the day, but I know I can't keep them.

Whenever I got a kitten, the people always just said goodluck and sent me on my way. I guess that's what happens when you don't go through a reputiable breeder (or someone like me, who is just trying rehome kittens and doesn't really have that much experience with it).

Any other advice would great for rehoming the kittens!

Bless you for taking such care with these kittens. I had a man the other day whose queen had kittens and he was just like 'Take 'em' didnt even ask me where I lived, if they were going to be indoor/outdoor. It really upset me, and I ended up not getting a kitten from them. Im really glad I held out though because Ceci's foster mom is the most caring person I have ever met.

I got her number from an add in the paper and she was so excited that I was calling. She immediatly asked me if I had ever owned any cats, if so what happened to them, did I have screens, was she going to be inside only? etc. I LOVED her. She even told me if for some reason it didnt work out she'd take her, if I was going on vacation she'd take her etc. Everything was lovely.

She even drove quite a way to bring her to me and gave me a little baggie with toys, canned food and her medical record. I liked her so much ive let her know I want another kitty from her
