We noticed last night that his lower right fang was loose, sticking out at almost a right angle.
He of course needs a dental, but has shown no signs of mouth pain, or even bad breath.
Still eating and chewing his dry food.
His gums are inflamed.
His tooth was not loose enough for them to remove simply, so they gave him a steroid shot an antibiotic shot and sent him home.
Vet figures the tooth is bad, but that he probably knocked it on something and jarred it loose.
He goes back tomorrow morning for oral surgery and a cleaning, they'll remove any bad teeth and they'll be putting a fairly new protective coating on the good teeth that remain.
Poor guy, he's only 7 and gets the same dental care as the other 5 cats, but the vet says that genetics are likely working against him in this case.
