Cat not pooping in litter box

Hello -
My cat, DaisyMay is aout 1-1/2 years old and all of the sudden; she is not pooping in the box. She is peeing in the box, just pooping - and it is not in randomparts of the house - it is right in front of the box on the flooor. Any ideas on what struck this with her?

She may be telling you that she wants a second litter box. A lot of cats use one box for peeing, and another for pooping.

You may want to add a box and see if the behavior goes away. If not, a vet trip may be called for.

Duchess is very picky!! She ALWAYS pees in her box but she use to pee on the floor we had 2 boxes and 3 cats and were scooping every other day. then we started scooping more often and it got much better. It did't go away but it was less often! Then We doubled our boxes to 4 and I scoop everyday and she hasn't done it since.

Just get at least one more box and make sure it is scooped often and also emptied and washed out good often and I bet your baby will like that much much better.

Do you only have one cat and do you only have one box???
