My "mommy kitty" is a stray we adopted about 4 years ago when we noticed she was pregnant and hanging around for food.
She seemed so small and skinny then, I assumed she was fairly young.
We found homes for her kittens and got her fixed soon after.

She is now a part of our family and is an indoor/outdoor cat (mostly indoor now it seems).

However, over the past four years we've noticed what first appeared like a fleck of "dirt" on her nose, right on the tip of her nose, just above the nostrils (forgive my terminology!). We scraped it off since she likes to dig in dirt and assumed that's all it was.
Yet it kept coming back and actually appeared to be growing.

Now it's obvious it's a growth and not just dirt. It's a larger area now, but still not *that* large of an area. You can easily scrape it off (if she will hold still long enough) and underneath is pink and fleshy (like new skin).

In addition, just the past year I've noticed her getting brown/gold "flecks" or spots on the yellow part of her eyes. It started out one spot on one eye, and now it's a couple spots on each eye.

Some limited research I did said perhaps it's age spots? I assumed she was only about 6-7 yrs. old or so just because how "young" she looked when we found her 4 yrs. ago. However, I really have no idea HOW old she is.
She is pretty calm and quiet compared to my younger, more vocal other two cats (one of them being one of her adult kittens).

Anyway, I'm curious if the eye spots could now be related to the nose growth? And if the nose growth sounds like it could possibly even be something like skin cancer (can cats get skin cancer)?

She seems perfect health in every other way, eating, weight, etc. all great.

Thanks!!

Hi and welcome to TCS!

I would recommend that you make a visit to the vet! It is better to get it checked and recieve the correct treatment if required.

Cats can and do get skin cancer so it is something to bear in mind. I put sun block on the ears and noses of my cats during summer to help prevent any damage!

Please do let us know how you get on at the vets! Good }}}VIBES{{{ coming to you both
