I am planning on sending mine next week. I just need to get some candy chews that a company here makes. They are out of this world!! I love the peanutbutter ones, but the caramel and peppermint are good too.

Hmmm. Last week, I ordered stuff from two U.S. suppliers (I'm on the Continent), and specified "surface mail". One told me they could deliver within 10 days, and charged $1 for shipping, and I got the goods 8 days later. The other charged $2.95, and gave a delivery period of 1 - 3 weeks. I got the delivery 5 days later. My SS package (surface) cost €32 (USD 40.93) to send by "surface" mail, but there was no cheaper option available.

I just made sure when I packed mine up, even though it was only going to the US, that everything was in gift boxes and bags, so that if Customs wanted to open them they could. I must say I was amazed at how quickly it got to Susie - 1 week! My gift from Jana arrived completely intact, with gift wrap in place! I think a lot depends on the Customs agent!

What really gets me is that the card I sent you earlier took longer than the package.
That is why the package got sent early. I hope you don't mind getting it so early.

The cats house, we just pay the mortgage..
I have a little package under my desk wrapped and ready for me to take to the post office at the end of the day!

Ive decided to leave work a little early rather than battle with the queue at lunch time.
I hope it doesn't take weeks to arrive like the experiences some of you guys are talking about!
Is there anything I should know before I send it? I have my return address written on it aswell.

I've posted my package!!
Off it went yesterday! I didnt want to let it go! I was so excited about it!
I think I may have gone overboard as it was pretty expensive to post!
Worth all the fun though.
I was a little alarmed that they may open it somewhere along the line!!
Fingers crossed my SS posts here soon to say they received it!
