I have today off from work and I didn't see a daily thread so I thought I would start it while I am doing some laundry. I wonder if anyone else feels like summer went by way too fast???? It already is starting to seem like fall here and I've noticed the first color changes in some of the trees and see fewer birds. I haven't seen as many squirrels either lately and I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. It's going to be a quiet day around here and it looks like it might be a quiet day on the boards too.

Have a good Friday and a nice weekend!!!

Good morning everyone! Lorie, you are right. Summer has just flown by, which doesn't really bother me since it is my least favorite season. I don't like it hot. We have finally gotten the "monsoon flow" coming up here, with rain in the afternoons. We should normally be getting that rain flow at least in July, but it really just started this week.
The drought is so bad that Denver just passed a temporary law that forbids anyone using Denver water to water their lawn starting in September.

We had an exciting morning. Trent is still busy exploring every crevace in the new apartment. I heard a big BANG, then saw a black streak flying into the bedroom (I don't think he touched the ground - really
). This morning he decided to take a peek around the mantle above the fireplace. Wouldn't be too bad, except that Earl had set two of his framed prints on the mantle, just leaned them against the wall with the rest of *my* prints, pictures, and cross stitches on the floor in front of the fireplace. You guessed it, Trent knocked one of the big prints off the mantle, which shattered the glass on a cross stitch that my friend made for me. Scared the pee out of everyone. Luckily, nothing was irreperably damaged (except the glass). Earl said he had shooed Trent off the mantle at least 3 times yesterday. I think Trent learned that it isn't a good kitty place this morning.

Happy Friday and have a great weekend!

I have been extremely busy at work this week! I have just managed to check in here occasionally. I was excited to see Merlin in the "Caption This" forum!

I haven't been feeling well all week, I have been experiencing chest pains and had an EKG on Tuesday. My hubby has been very unsupportive, saying things like "I don't need to hear this" "What is wrong with you this time". I was in tears last night - I can't help it if I am unwell! I am working on getting heathier (I have lost 12 pounds). I just wish he would be more supportive.

My mother in law is very ill with pnemonia (sp?). She only has 1 lung due to a previous cancer, so we are very concerned about her.

Sorry for being so down today! I have a bridal shower tomorrow so hopefully that will cheer me up!

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Ady, I'm sorry you haven't been feeling well and I hope it's nothing serious.

Movin' on up!
Adrienne, give him a swift kick in the butt! When men are sick, they whine.

Work wasn't too bad, today - the boss took a long weekend.

Rowdy is SO disgusting. I changed out the litter boxes, this afternoon. Before I got the clean litter in, she peed in one box. As soon as the new litter was in, before I got the cover on the box, she dumped one of her eye-watering, nose-hair curling loads! How that awful smell can come out of that cute little kitty is beyond me! I wish she would wait, until I'm out of the laundry room, with the door shut.
