My character of the house, Orion, has this strange habit of putting a toy (usually one of those little mice) and putting it in the water dish everyday. He plays with it for a bit and there it is every morning getting soaked. Anyone ever had that experience before ?

my friends cat O.J has four of those little pound puppy dolls that he thinks are his babies. when you shake them he comes running to "save" them he also puts them in the food to eat and the water to drink and them just leaves them there and gets them later, i think it's hilarius.

So he's watering his mouse...how special.....I told you he's the character of the house. He constantly holds his paw half way up and bent went he's inquisitive, he always extends his paw to say hi, faining a stretch, (doesn't fool me !)
greets everyone at the door, and drives em nuts if they don't say hello back!
and everytime I enter the building (two floors down) he knows, and stands at the door,
that's how someone who's in my apartment knows when I'm home, Orion's at the door.
The sleeping flat on his back paws spread is one thing, but he falls asleep in his cradle with his butt up in the air, elevator butt....he puts his paws over his eyes when he goes to sleep...this guy is really special The Character. Mike, Medford Ore

Cats generally look upon their food/water bol as the "safe place" in their house. I suppose he's just putting his favorite toy away in that safe place as he would in the wild with his nest.
