I saw a little black stray last night while taking my garbage out at work. Two other employes were with me, one being that mean old lady. Well while we were standing there and they was smoking the cat followed us and tried to love on her and she told it she was fixing to kick it so I called the little cat to me and she just rubbed up against my legs
I wish I could have taken her home. She has either been abused or hit by a car before because she walks funny and her tail has been broke it looks like her hip has too and like it had healed without much help. I know I have seen her coming out of one of the trailors by the nursing homes. I just hate seeing them running loose especially around there the kids are so mean to cats. She was black with yellow eyes. And I hate to call the shelter because they never look anyway.
But I couldn't believe that old woman was going to kick her just for trying to love on her.

I agree the little cat tore at my heart strings and she didn't care. But what should I expect she doesn't care about residents either. Me and someone was talking about how if you don't put one of the ladies near you to prompt her she won't eat and she said well who cares if she gets hungry she will eat. This is a patient who has alzheimers she doesn't make the connect between eating and being healthy and not hungry. Evil people why do they insist upon being that way. God give us a heart to love and care about one another not to turn it to ice

I worked briefly in a nursing home, and I was apalled at what I saw. So many health care professionals are cold hearted $*#*@# makes you wonder why the heck did they go into a caring profession? It sickens me because disabled and elderly people are so vulnerable. We get all fired up about children, and yet these adults are just as vulnerable and people seem to be able to just look the other way.

What about contacting a TNR group about the situation??

I'm not psychic,I just see through people
Is that heartless woman a carer?

I can't stand people like that,Your right Susie
She needs a good swift kick.

I would make a complaint to your supervisor or boss about her attitude towards patients,If she's like that while your there it makes me wonder what she's like when nobodys around.

A little known statistic but I read that old people have the highest rate of suicide than any other age group, but nobody seems to care because people think they're old and don't matter any more.

I just recently got involved with a very sweet disabled old lady who is confined to a wheelchair and who's cat had cat flu and she couldn't take him to a vet.He had diarrhea{sp?} and was in a bad way.
The social workers called in our cat charity to try to get the cat removed because of the smell and they have sought eviction proceedings against her because of it.
The social workers who are supposed to be there to help this lady don't like animals and refuse to do part of their job !!
So of course when we got involved her cat was taken into the vets, treated for his illness and returned home to his loving meowmy

Some of the volunteers rallied round to help clean up,I have been visiting him everyday to give him his meds and while measuring up to re-decorate for her I found that the door to the bathroom was too narrow for the lady to get her wheelchair in
Those stupid people had placed her in a property where she can't get access to the bathroom

When I asked her about it she said it was the only place that would allow her to keep her cat,so she has been struggling with her bathroom needs and the 'carers' knew this all along

Tavias mom you must report this woman, imo she is not fit to be a carer.

I hope you can help the little kitty
in some way though.

Could you take her home?
The kitty I mean

I have tried reporting her and they seem uninterested. And on the kitty my dad won't let me bring another cat home. He says one is all a person needs.

If she is in a position of authority then they may be reluctant to act on what you have told them.In that case I would find out who is above the person you reported her to and send an anonymous letter explaining what she is like and that you feel it would jeopardise your position if you let your identity be known, set up an e-mail address that they can contact you on and give that as a means of contact.

And on the little kitty
and winning your dad round,I would ask him to take you to feed her one night and let him see that it's not you that needs her,It's her that needs you....and your dad
