Remember the three little kitties we had to rescue from our FRIENDS that didn't think to call us until one of the kittens had already died? (And didn't think to call us to trap the female and get her spayed before she HAD kittens?
)

Anyway... the person who was going to adopt one of them backed out. And we'd been working on the idea that we were going to have a seventh cat, because the last little female had a developmental problem with her foot so she's kind of handicapped.... BUT .....a wonderful couple that uses the same vet as we do is adopting all three!!!!!!!!! We met them today. Their kitty is 8 years old. He was in the hospital for being blocked, and they fell in love with "our" kitties.
The vet says they're great kitty parents, so we are sooooo happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the good wishes for the kitties! They are so darling (sorry, didn't think to take pics).

Doing this is normal for us - we rescue, we help co-ordinate rescues, and we trap. This was just different because so many people we don't know contact us for assistance - and these people live about 1 minute away. We stop to visit them multiple times a week at the store they run right next to their home. We go out with these people pretty frequently. They listen to our stories and know that we rescue and trap &etc.

The bummer was they never mentioned they have stray/feral cats at the warehouse and eating out of the dumpster. They've known about the situation. And they allowed a litter of kittens to be born before it ever occurred to them to say something to us about the "cat problem." (Which we now think is under control. We've TNR'd three adults - the mom and two males. But they have promised to keep an eye out, and if they see any non-ear tipped kitties, this time they're going to call).
