Things that go "bump" in the night.... - Page 2

I picked semi-brave.

It depends on how tired I am. If I'm still semi-sleep walking, someone could come through with an axe and a poltergeist could tear through and I would still be too tired to care.

You sound like Amber. The first night I stayed over here ever (before the accident). I woke up to Amber crying somewhere far off. She was hiding in a corner swearing she saw someone in the house. It was herself in a mirror she had forgotten she moved,

How unusual---I'm exactly the same!

Hmmm, that's one more to add to the list of OCD-like traits of mine

I'm glad I'm not the only one who has this mirror/window thing going on

I have got braver over the years since hubby has worked night shifts. However i dont watch any horror films before i go to bed anymore that used to do it every time. And if the cats do that thing they do...you know the gazing up into the corner of the room thing........

As to anyone trying to break in...well i have a huge great samurai sword on the wall, there will be tears!

I picked "brave," but only because there wasn't a "stupid" category to choose from. Even when I'm home alone and I hear a strange noise, it doesn't even occur to me that what I've heard could potentially be something (or someone) dangerous. I just get up and go investigate. Fortunately for me, it's almost always one of the cats doing something crazy.

Good luck breaking into my house late at night, though. It's dark and your eyes will be dazzled from the streetlights and the security light, there are cat toys and cat trees scattered across the hallway floor, everything valuable is shut in the living room behind a door barricaded with a large cat tree (to prevent the cats from pulling the french door open), and if you don't trip over a toy or a cat, you've got myself and my (rather tall and muscular) FI to contend with. And we have swords.

I'm a brave biker chick. BRING IT ON!

I have heavy objects and I'm not afraid to throw them!

I admit it, I'm stupidly brave. I've confronted burglars, muggers, an angry Stevie and a stuck in the roof civet cat before! And I do sleep armed with a knife nearby...

I picked scared of my own shadow, but stupidly brave enough to investigate anyways. I went on a ghost tour and one of the old chapels I was in there was a story about a black cat who sometimes shows up and I went over to this dark corner (whole place not well lit) and all of the sudden this black cat jumps down from the window ledge (which the window doesn't open and it's stain glass)...I was with several friends...man I just let out a scream and booked it the heck outta there. LOL...but then I went back...I go looking for scares...love horor movies and then I cry when I have nightmares LOL

I am brave but I also have a fear of windows and mirrors especially at night. All of the windows in my room have blankets over them. And when I worked third shift I was easy to scare a big part of it was due to the amount of idiots on drugs in the neighborhood and I worked in a nursing home that had drugs and I knew where you could easily break in. When I am at home I am not too scared I have 4 load shotguns so not too worried. And I did have a giant hunting knife. But I grew up in the country so I don't worry too much about breakins just mirrors and such and I don't like walking in town at night by myself but that is because I am used to being in the country and no neighbors.

What good is it to have cats if not to blame them for middle of the night noises? If I hear something, I blame one of the cats & roll over for more sleep.

i picked somewhere inbetween.

I don't walk into dark rooms, but not for fear of people but rather fear of aliens (I saw an unsolved mystery when I was like 8 and it scarred me.)

But sounds and stuff? Nah. I'll check 'em and besides, if someone even attempted to walk into my house, my dog'll go ape on them. He's fine if I let you in or if he knows you but yeah... not on "the list" and he's all over it. Plus, if you're an ignorant burgular he could look like a wolf.
