I need to get my new nephew something for X-Mas. I need some ideas. Something interactive or something to enjoy or look at. I saw this thing that has lights and plays soothing music. Basically a fancy night light. But I need some other baby ideas. I think I might give that to my sister to relax for when the baby goes to bed. Or she can play it in the baby's room, whatever. But something for the kid! Something unique. What is cool in the baby world? I know nothing about babies. Any new baby technology I should know about?

Ideas please? I don't want to get him just some random thing that everyone else is going to get him, you know? Clothes he will grow out of qtoo quickley. Not that he will care, he will be 2 months old only, but you know what I mean.

Thanks.

He'll only be 2 months for a short time, though.....I always buy for a few months down the road. This site has some good ideas for any age http://www.gifts.com/recipients/baby-boy/ohMr13aicp
I would recommend something that will improve motor skills. I picked up a basketball net toy for 9months+ last christmas for my bf's godson, who was then 4 months.....Took a while before he was able to play with it but he's still playing with it now. Apparently it's one of his favourites! Definitely, the more interactive the better, for babies. Something with lots of different textures is usually a hit.
There are some great toys out there. I've heard a lot of really good things about the Lamaze Peek 'n Explore Apple seen here http://www.growingtreetoys.com/product/5648 . You should be able to find that at ToysRUs or similar stores. Good luck!

Movin' on up!
Mia will only be 2 months old by Christmas, too. So far, I've only gotten clothes and a pair of pre-walker Western boots for her. The kids still have all of the stuff from the twins and have limited space so, I'll probably just buy her a stuffed toy and some rattles.

Jen, they have this cute little tent like thing that has a TON of entertaining toys on it.It sits on the floor and the baby lays in the middle of the tent thing and can play with toys.
Anything that will get the babies motor skills working is nice.

For my niece's Christening, I got her a pearl necklace (for an adult), so that when she's older, she could have it as memento.

Maybe something like that?
