Hi,
I was hoping some one here can tell me if a 12 week old kitten that had a fever, vomiting and diarrhea (vet said it was from de-worming or a virus) could possibly have rabies. there is no more fever or vomiting but it does have diarrhea and is on amoxi drops. if any ones knows if these are symptoms of rabies or has any info on rabie symptoms i would appreciate any help. thanks

Those 3 symptoms could be a number of things, but I highly doubt its rabies.

If the vet you took it to can't help, then see another vet. The loose stool could be as simple as a food allergy.

Try switching foods.

I didnt think so but i was nervous cause i found her as a possible stray: she had a collar but it was too tight there were no tags and she was starving and flea infested. i brought her to the vet were she checked out aids and luekemia free and got her first round of shots and a worming then she got sick the next day.i cant find her owner but thats ok i fell in love with her. well i was concerned about the rabies cause she either bit or scratched my hand

Rabies honestly is really rare in cats. She could have a number of different virus's that can be easily treated. I'm glad you saved her, poor thing sounds like she lost her home.

I think she did lose her way. she is such a good little girl even when she had to vomit she ran and did it in the litter pan! she's al bright eyed and playful its just the diarrhea. i took her temp at lunch and it was good a little low 100.9 but that couldve been fron not haveing it in long enough i figure. its been 2 days since the vet i figure i'll give her one more day and then i will take her to a different vet. i was only concerned about rabies cause of her not feeling well, but from the info i did find i'll know within 10 days or so. if she gets better she goes Nov 24 for her booster shots and first rabies vac.
thanks for your help, everonr seems so nice here.
