We have two calicos.

Three of our four are girls (and of course, the calicos are in that Venn set). Both of them do have 'toritude' but it's not at all the way people make it sound. They are such characters!

Slaine does play gravity with scissors and knives, and runs with match boxes in her mouth, but she also adopted Talin on sight, and is cheerfully the bottom cat in the heirarchy (she could easily be higher if she wanted to, and has occasionally done it when she wanted a particular chair really, really badly).

Molly is lethal, but incredibly affectionate. She always knows when somethings wrong, and knows that the solution is to let you hang with her. Molly still mothers Bobby.

Slayer mothers Slaine - Slaine mothers Talin. We couldn't have this many cats without so many queens.

I have names for the 4th: If it's a boy: Pipkin Joseph. If it's a girl: Samas Erin or Zelda Marie. Zelda would be if she's acting like a princess, Samas if she is acting tough. It's going to depend.

Seriously, I think it's wonderful that your hubby wants to pick a kitty. How awesome is that!

If he follows his heart he will "be chosen" by the right one.

Aww, that's so cute. Erik has been away a lot with our kitties due to the Army, and we always wait until we're together to get another. The only exception was when he was deployed to New Orleans to help with Katrina damage - I adopted Trixie - but I called him to ask first!

8-Bit adopted us. He was the kitty who just curled up in the cat carrier and fell asleep. We didn't really have a choice there. Scratch, however, gave me a look like "You're my Meowmy aren't you?". I couldn't say no to that.

Wow, that sounds typical of each boy's personalities!!!
8-Bit the confident, and Scratch the shy, thoughtful

That's how they are! 8-Bit just knew we were going to take him home. Scratch was just a bit nervous about the whole process.

I have a feeling that is going to happen. I can just see it now. He opens the carrier, and out pops a little calico girl that just runs up to 8-Bit and smacks him on the nose. My vet is going to be thrilled.

I'm so excited for you! I'm dreaming of the day when I hear Brian say he wants to pick out our next kitty.
I'm not holding my breath though...

What month are you supposed to get #3 again?
