Newbie here with 2 Cats & Kitten

I am new to this forum and site. I have three beautfiul cats named Jhett-Li age 2.5, Tiny-Tiny 1.5 and Fum-Fum Salem 7mos. All my Furbabies are solid black, two has greenish eyes and Jhett-Li has gold color eyes. I love my felines alot they are my best freind and companions. Salem hes the new member of our family, I had found him wondering around at the gas station so I brought him home two weeks ago. Jhett-Li is Tiny-Tiny mother which shes from the 2nd litter and shes the only cat I kept out of three litters of kittens. I would like some advice here Salem seems to have gas badly and I need to know what is causing it? I feed him the same food as my other cats and he tends to pass gas throughout the day. Can someone tell me what is causing him to do this? I dont know much about the cat since I had found him.

Its great here, with lots of advice, help and support - I cannot help with your query, as none of my cats have had this problem. But I am sure you´ll get some help from our other members.

What interesting names you have for your kitties, they sound such peaches You are such a special person to save Salem, and I hope he has settled well with your other kitts !

Glad you could make it here! And THANKS for adopting and rescuing! Well, the first thing would be to get him checked out by a vet, and get his basic kitten innoculations (a lot of vets have "packages" at discount); and follow his advice on diet. Supermarket and "bargain" foods usually contain a lot of things no one would want their loved ones to eat, of really bad quality. So I always feed premium cat foods from Petco, PetsMart, or other "pet" supply stores. Kittens need kitten food for their first year. Nutro Max is a good brand; some others include Natural Balance, Optimum Natures' Recipe, PetGuard, PetGold, Triumph, ProPlan, Solid Gold Katz-n-Flocken, etc. Sounds like Tiny-Tiny has problems digesting the food you are feeding; it may not be the best food for any of your cats. And I do hope you get everyone spayed or neutered! With millions of healthy, lovable, beautiful cats losing their lives annually due to lack of good homes, it's the caring thing to do; it prevents a lot of health problems, too. And keeping them indoors-only is also the caring thing to do. Hope this helps!
