Snowy acting like a dog

Can anyone tell me why my little Snowy scratches at the floor like a dog. She uses both paws and scratches very fast like a dog trying to dig up a bone. It is driving me mad . She normally does it through the night but lately she's doing it all the time. Also she does the same when she has finished eating or drinking, then she looks like what a bull does before it charges.I dont think its anything to do with her been pregnant. I have checked her paws and claws and they same ok.
Any ideas?

Old Pete was a Humane Society reject when I got him. He was the only one of all my cats, that when he was through eating, tried to cover or bury the food that was left. It drove me nuts.

I am wondering if your baby is concerned about having enough food for her kits?

Gizmo does the same thing. I think she is simply frustrated when she does this.
Try playing with her just before bedtime.

"Rapid scratching" usually means frustration for my little girl, anyway.
