Punkin is from a neighbors barn. He was about 7 weeks old and had a really bad looking puncture wound on his right shoulder. I brought him home and started to clean the wound and the wound wiggled - it was full of maggots. My DH says that is probably what kept him alive. So off to the vet to get the wound cleaned out and a round of amoxidrops. His wound healed nicely and today you cannot even see a scar. He is very energetic and loving. And loves people food - everything from a pork chop to green beans . .

punkin is adorable!! Im so happy he his feeling up to par!! As far as maggots I would have vomited i cant handle it!!!!!!!!

I'm so glad that you rescued him. Your husband is right about the maggots. They live on dead and dying tissue so they kept the wound clean and uninfected.

I'm so glad that he's doing well. He's a sweetie and we need more pictures!!!
