Well, all it took was a little nudge from my Secret Santa, and I fell over to the dark side.
I opened my box last night. (I've been so swamped at work all day I haven't been able to get on, though. Nasty people...expecting me to work!
)
The box contained five gift bags...
Which contained all of this!!
I got two adorable wooden cows to add to my kitchen collection, some wonderful smelling Sweet Pea body lotion (which I'm wearing today), a bath puff, a box of yummy Lindt chocolates, a cow magnet, an armadillo magnet (which had DH rolling with laughter because we have running joke about armadillos), and a beautiful framed quote:
I like the quote so much I put it on my bedside table so I could see it first thing in the morning or last thing at night.
My kitties got a whole smorgasbord of yummy kitty treats, including their most very favorite Wildlife Salmon and a bunch of catnip. They also got a bag of new catnip toys, which are already a big hit with Forest. (Tailer's too busy trying to get at the treats to play with toys, and Harvey's still too mad at me for taking him to the vet yesterday to come out.) My clue was four pictures of four beautiful kitties...
It's Java, Cable, Pixel, and Chip...which makes my Secret Santa Laureen!!

My hubby is very skepical though and is constantly telling me that I will never receive anything. That I am gonna get gypped.. So prove him wrong SS!!! I was hoping to get mine while I was off work this week.
Matt has been saying the same thing, but then turns around and tells me when it arrives I am not allowed to open it

Well, I JUST got mine today... today is certainly one of those 'give and you get back' days... I brought in a jacket to work today for the 'free' box in our break room, and while on my last break, one of my managers gave me a pair of jeans that might fit me...
the other half of this is that I mailed my SS gift this morning (yes, I know, it's late, but I had some unforeseen circumstances over a homemade gift... and if/when my SS guesses and wants to know why, I'll explain in further detail) ... so I get home and find my box in the mail...
I know she's from Canada (postal stickers are from there) ... but I'll do some sniffin' around before making any guesses... I was surprised at how much stuff was in the box... Holy Catsmas!! I did guess at the Toblerone bar... haven't unwrapped it yet, but I will... and a load of other little things... I have figured out there's a book in there somewhere... I used to sell books, and I collect them like mad, so I can always tell if there's a book, from the feel of it. I love the tags she attached to the prezzies... especially the one on the Toblerone bar: "It's Brown, It's a Triangle, Have you guessed yet?"
Hmm... not a clue...
Oh yes... what's with the electricians tape to wrap prezzies and seal the box? I thought that was amusing... esp. since I am a firm believer in the power of duck tape (and other forms of sticky stuff)
Let's see how long i can hold out... I'll have to open early anyway, as I'll be out of town. Leaving on the 22nd to drive down to CA for the holidays with family. I haven't spent a holiday with them (as dysfunctional as they are) since 2000, as I left CA in August of 2001.
Crud... I have to go finish my moms quilt and my friends' fleece throw...
