I noticed that the grocery store is starting to carry what looks like might be better brands of litter. I've been poking around trying to find reviews for some of them, but thought this might be a good place to ask for opinions. The ones I saw that looked interesting were:

Aristocats Scoopable Pine
Better Way
World's Best
Cedar Fresh
Swheat Scoop.

I've used Swheat Scoop. I don't want clay, want something that's not dusty, but that isn't like pine needles or like yesterday's news consistency. Anyone have experience or advice about any of those?

I was using Swheat Scoop but found it too dusty. I use World's Best now and find it lasts longer as well. I scoop a minimum of once per day and every couple days I add a couple of cups of fresh. I clean the pan out completely about once every 6 weeks.

Thanks, I've heard other good things about World's Best, I'm going to try that one. Swheat Scoop is definitely too dusty.

I use Feline Pine. At first I wasn't sure what to make of it, but I've since found that I prefer this litter type and will use it again. Basically, anything that gets wet turns into dry sawdust, however, it isn't dusty, it stays in the litter box. All you have to do is pluck out the poop and leave everything else in the box until it turns into all sawdust. Then you dump it all out and refill. Very easy to use, and my kitten loves it. You mentioned two types of pine litter, I would try those, or pick up some Feline Pine from Petsmart or Petco.
