It could be worse, my mother turned 40 twice! All through her 39th year, she thought she was 40, went through all the "oh no, I'm 40" stuff. Then her birthday rolls around and we threw her a big party. She was definitely surprised! Especially when she asked "Why such a big party for my 41st birthday?" and we all looked at her funny and said "Mom, this is your 40th birthday." The look on her face was priceless!
