Stumpy is off to the rainbow bridge...

Hey there. I know I've been absent for quite a while, but the last month has been really difficult. Stumpy, the pregnant stray that "adopted" C and me and had her babies, passed away last night. After she had her babies in Sept. her health had steadily declined. The vets couldn't find anything really wrong with her. Though here in Brazil, vet care is much different than in the states. She stopped eating and last night she got in her box and just went to sleep. The babies are fine, not really noticing much that she's gone. They slept through the night and haven't went looking for her. They will be 6 weeks on Sunday. She was a sweet and loving cat and I will miss her even though she was a part of our lives for a short 4 months. I will post some pics of her, though she was pregnant at the time, in the fur pics.

I am so sorry for your loss. It is wonderful that you have her babies with you now. Look into their eyes and feel and hear their purrs, she is still there.

I'm so sorry for your loss! It is almost like she held on as long as she could, out of love for her babies! Then she left them in your loving hands. Rest in peace, Stumpy, knowing your babies will always be loved and cared for!

i am so very sorry to hear this, RIP little one.

Please post pics of her when you feel like it! I am sad that she is gone but am happy that the little ones are ok.

Stumpy have a wonderful time mothering all the other kittens at Rainbow Bridge Your babies are safe so don't worry about them
