Thumper, Keith and ???

Did you get the new M Coon???

Hopefully I can pick him up on Sunday if not it will be Monday or Tuesday. Im going to call Saturday to see if he's ready. He was fixed on Monday so he's re-adjusting to the new world... Everything is ready for his introduction. I told Thumper and she's ok with it. He's got his room ready with litter, dishes toys and scratching post. Oh and they both have new blankets for phase one ( I smell you, you smell me )

I finally figured out a name, I do like domino but I think he will be named Cosmo... :0

Yikes I just realized one more kitty and with a name starting with A I have just spelled C A T

Well Cosmo my 2nd Maine Coon just arrived, what a cutie and handsome.... I took him to his room got everything setup and he came out of the carrier and started playing so thats good. ive left him alone for a bit and did one check and he's sleeping. I took these photo's right when he got home. Thumper seems to know something is going on and is sniffing around but thats all so far. Ill take some better photo's later

I didn't think Maine Coons came in black and white?I thought the kitten in the pics was a Tuxedo
Am I wrong?

They come in lots of colors. Here is a black and white one.

I didnt know that before. I always thought they all looked like thumper/ a racoon. 2 Friends had them a long time ago and they looked like thumper.

Is tuxedo the same as black and white?

Cosmo's such a tiny little fluffball -- how old is he? How is Thumper handling the new sibling?

lol, he is such a little fuzz ball. I just put him to bed but before he was playing up a storm. So far he has been up my shirt and pants leg. I was laying down on the floor and he sat on my neck and kept touching his paw to my face. He was born on 8-26-06 and weights in at a whopping 1.8 lbs. Thumper just hit 8.5 lbs so he's got alot of catching up to do and Thumper was born on 3-13-06

Thumper definiatly knows someone else is in the house, she's been sniffin me and rubbing all over. When I leave the room Cosmo is in, Thumper is right there waiting for me. I really thought him being so young he would be timid but he came out of the carrier sniffed around a bit then used my foot as prey.

As you can probably tell im having such a blast. I really needed some happy stuff going on

Thumper is 8.5 pounds at 8 months?! She weighs more than Molly who is 4 years old. She's going to be big. She's also going to have a magnificient tail. I think Molly, who is a rescue mutt, must have some Maine Coon in her because of her tail:



Imagine what a full-blooded Maine Coon tail will look like! I'm jealous.

So when will Cosmo and Thumper meet face-to-face?

"The Tail of Asia!" It is appropriate, I must say. I won't show the pic to Molly because, currently, she thinks she has the tail of the universe.

just to clarify, a tuxedo has a (mostly) black body, white breast to/and belly, and usually white tipped paws/boots on the back legs (like a penguin , or my LuckyGirl )....black & whites can also mean a bi-colour which would be more like a "cow" or other types called "cap & saddle" or "mask & saddle" where the cat is white, except for a mask over the eyes/ears and an area that looks like a saddle.... But I have to say Cosmo is a DOLL BABY!!! Sooo handsome... (and a great drink too! )

He is very handsome I will have to hide Tavia's eyes when he gets bigger I don't want my girl being a craddle robber.

Yea I guess ill have to count thumpers tail as kitty number 3. lol, Its a fluffy one!! Its really cool when she sits down and wraps the tail around her. Usually means she's waiting for me and will lay down and stuff her nose in it. Like if I go in the basement or in the shower. But now she does it outside the door where Cosmo is. She can be at the other side of the house and I sneak upstairs to see cosmo and every single time ive come out of the room thumper is right there.

As far as them meeting, early next week cosmo is heading to the vets for his kitty checkup so I figure ill give that a day or 2 to let him chill out. Ill put thumper in another room and let cosmo get used to the rest of the house and take it from there.
