Alright, so I know my cats get a good variety of raw foods to eat, but I think they still get bored with certain things. Recently my distributor of the raw foods, discontinued the ground duck, which was a big favorite of most of my bengals. Not sure what the story with the duck is, but anyway........
I decided to let them sample the Venison. Wow, I thought someone was going to lose an ear or get a whisker pad bitten off. They went beserk, growling and pretty much inhaling the food and begging for more.
This whole feeding frenzy surprised me, because I assumed they wouldn't like the gamey taste of deer meat.
I'll be ordering more.....the kids demand it.

For those who are interested, I currently feed:

Raw rabbit, ground with bones
Free Range (murray's) Chicken blend, bones and veggies (raw)
Turkey organs (raw)
Raw Venison (boneless)
Supplement: Wysong Call of the Wild
Wellness Kibble (kitten & adult)

I am considering sampling the Raw Elk, since the venison was such a hit. Will post about the results.

Hmm...I'll have to check that out. My cats have never eaten raw venison alone, except for in Nature's Variety premix stuff. They seem to like that enough. I'm going to check that website out! I usually order my raw stuff from haretoday.com, but they don't carry venison.

In my case, I'm feeding more than 20 cats a day. So I thaw out about 5 lbs of food for the daily (24 hours) feedings. Our cats and kittens get fed 3 to 4 times a day.
The "tubes" have marks on them, where you can cut out individual servings and freeze until you need them.

I thaw a two lb chub out every few days for two to three mouths
... Raw fed cats will eat roughly 4 ounces a day

Yeah, ya know I was real skeptical about trying the venison. I thought for sure they wouldn't like it...or maybe just a few would like it.
Their enthusiasm for it pretty much blew me away. Not one of my 20 plus bengals turned their nose up at it. I have one older boy, who only wants dry food and he will sometimes eat rabbit if the planets are all aligned, it's a full moon and 3 pigs are flying.........he cleaned up every last bit of the venison...and licked the plate clean. Made my day.

A chub is what you call the pre-packaged roll of raw food.

Kai Bengals, I'm glad yours liked the venison so much, mine love it too, but they only get neck bones to chew the meat off from time to time as at treat.

Sharky, we have the venison necks as dog recreational chew bones at work. We have a freezer full! I just take the ones cut for toy-sized dogs and they work great for the cats to gnaw on. There's just enough meat on them to make the cats interested

Sorry they're not available other than locally, but with it being hunting season, you might be able to source some near you...

I'm thinking of buying a chub, possibly from barfdirect. Jafar seems to be improoving by eating raw chicken, so I'd like to try a prepared raw diet on her, see if she likes it. But she has allergies to grains and carbohydrates.

Exactly what raw veggies do they put in the chub? I'm pretty sure she's allergic to Sweet Potatoes. Peas and carrots seem to be OK, though...

Oh, and do the boxes arrive OK at your house? Is the meat still frozen? I never bought meat through the mail before. Maybe the natural pet store near my house carries this stuff. I know they have a freezer but I just presumed they were selling bones for dogs...

Any info would be appreciated!

If your cat has veggie allergies I would get the chubs with just meat bones and organ s
