I don't know what to do! Tis the season when you just start shocking your pets everytime you touch them. Static electricity is really bad here in my house. I can't figure out what to do. Everytime the kitties come up for me to pet them I just shock them instead and they run away.

Any tips?

Hmmm, you could trying spraying your clothes with a bit of Static Guard, that might help. If your place is really dry, you could try using a humidifier as well.

We installed a whole house humidifier on our furnace and can't believe we waited so long to do it. If you can't do this, buy a stand alone unit. A dry house is not healthy for humans or cats to live in.

I never thought of a humidifier! I will get one ASAP! I don't like shocking my pets.

You can also rub your cat down with a Bounce or other dryer sheet. It picks up stray hairs at the same time! Though the humidifier is probably one of the best bets

I have two humidifiers for a large apartment. It's good for dry and nosebleedy noses too (both Gizmo and I get them)
