Hello,

I'm a little bit worried as my 1-year-old tabby Mochi just vomited up some icky green stuff! He sounded a little bit weird and then suddenly all this green stuff came out, with some chunks of food in it. He seemed a little weirded out, but then was back to normal in minutes -- he's playing and running after my other cat and he ate a little bit too. I'm worried, but I think he can wait to go to the vet -- I have an appointment in two days. What do you guys think? Is this something that needs to be taken care of right away? Plus, what do you think it could be due too?

Poor guy

Thanks,
Dara

Perhaps he ate too fast?? You said he was not sick, correct? Let it go for a hour or so and see how he is.

If he's otherwise acting ok, I wouldn't panic. You can call your vet in the morning if you're still concerned, but as long as he's not down and out sick, mopey, lethargic, etc., it sounds like it can wait. Be sure to take a fresh stool sample when you go to your vet visit. Some worms and parasites can cause vomiting.

If he is an inside/outside kitty he could be vomiting green grass or weeds. Inside kitties with green vomit can indicate bile. I would call your vet and talk to him and see what he says about bringing him in earlier than two days.
