Okay, I have to admit I've been known to miss a few spots when I clean, but I didn't realize what that meant until today. I guess for the last few months I've forgotten to clean out our soap dish in our bath room. Due to the fact that it's not on eye level, and most of the time DH's wash rag has covered it I didn't think about cleaning it out. Well today I realized that I had an alien mold growing in it. I will NEVER forget to clean out the soap dish again.

Eeew...

Dont feel bad I think we all do it. When I first moved into my new home I took one of the large rooms as the 'junk' room. Well the other day I finally got around to cleaning it and putting DS in that room.

I guess I had something foreign rubbing against one of the walls and now I have a nasty brown stain on my beautiful white wall which requires a serious paint job!

Don't feel bad! Out shower has to little seats built in. We use them to stack our many shower potions. At any time I have 2-3 different shampoos and conditioners in there, Lee's body wash, my selection of 3, and razors, and loofahs. Well I clean the shower regularly but not a full scrub down as it usually stay pretty clean, but I was cleaning out empty bottles and the seat was pink (our water runs everything pink) and had so much soap scum on it! It was gross!! I will be cleaning that weekly from now on!

We have the same problem- but our water turns everything a rusty color. Well I did a real deep cleaning when we moved in, including scrubbing the shower, and I've cleaned the bathroom since but haven't scrubbed the shower again. Well a few weeks ago I decided it was finally time and I couldn't believe my eyes
It's like a brand new shower now
I will never let it go that long again!

You just don't realize it's getting stained because every day it's just a tiny bit darker, not enough to notice but over time it really can build up!

Oh don't worry....DH's first roommate had the brilliant idea of painting the offwhite shower walls a nice clean bright white. (We have 2 bathrooms) Well slowly but surely the paint is coming off. When our shower is at it's cleanest, it looks dirty. Plus the way the tub meets the wall, it gets very dirty and is a pain to clean. It's embarassing.

I have been keeping a brush with a long handle in the shower so when I take a shower and notice some spots that are getting rusty or the tile under the bench is looking nasty I use the soap in the shower and scrub the spots clean (or cleaner!!) I figure I'm in there already I might as well clean it too!!

Hmm, I bet that looks wonderful!

I just cleaned out the bottom of the toothbrush holder the other day. Talk about gross! It's one of those places you (well, I) never really notice so I don't think about cleaning it.

I usually just soak that stuff in a little bleach water...no scrubbing involved! It's the non-moveable stuff that stinks!

That's a good idea!! I try to keep a sponge in there but there really isn't anywhere to put it so it's always falling on the floor or in the tub.... at least you can usually hang a brush!

Yes!!! Another cleaning accessory I will not use as often as I should! At least maybe on the weekends when I get to take putzey showers and am not rushing I can put it to work!

My dad was my drill sargent, cause he's in the military. He'd say "HEATHER LYNNE!" with just the right touch of disappointment to make me do what ever it was that I didn't do...

I have a feeling DH would have started the push-ups, realized he wasn't in boot camp, then stopped.
