I am taking a speech class and we have to video tape ourselves giving an interview. I am borrowing a friends video recorder, which he thinks records using 8mm cassettes (I am picking it up tonight). My professor doesn't accept 8mm cassettes so I need to figure out how I can convert it to either a VHS tape or a DVD.
Does anyone know how this can be done?

So is it the old style video recorder cassettes? (ie the ones replaced by DV)

If so, there should be an AV out on it so that you can connect it to a VCR and record - in real time - your presentation onto VHS

same thing with a dvd player...if you have a dvd recorder you can connect the camera to the tv and record from the tv onto a dvd
