Im thinking of starting to feed raw

I went back and searched the threads but i dont want to go to anymore websites.. i was hoping someone here could answer some specific questions to me directly.

What meats are ok to feed the cats?

Can i feed them whole chicken with gizzards bone and heart?

Can I give them frozen pinkie mice from the pet store?

what about raw pieces of roast?

can you tell me personally of the benefits you have seen since feeding raw?

The Cons?

what else can i give them? I will only be feed raw a few times a week but i am taking out dry food completely, but they will still be getting wellness canned.

I've never fed raw (unless you count the snakes I've had). I know that you probably should use anything cold or frozen and definately don't feed then chicken bones. They can shatter and become very sharp and pointy which can really damage their insides.

There are many pre-made raw diets to help you get started, and some great recipes online. I hope sharky or vanillasugar pop in they are the experts on this. You might want to pm them.

I am exausted at the moment ... so please PM me for details...

NOT okay meats : FIsh and Pork

Most others are a matter of avail and price your willing to pay... YES you give bones ( raw will not shatter) I give a calcium supplement instead as mine dont understand eating bones...

Many premades are out there find a local one or one that is delivered loacally for best selection and quality ... I am spoiled my vet carries raw in varriuos forms including whole carcass...

I highly advise finding a vet who knows about /does a raw diet or is willing to learn ...

some may do pinkies but I am leary as I dont know where they came from and some animals wont eat dead whole animals..
