My friend is getting a kitten in a couple of weeks and I wanted to know a little something. The kittens mother is a DSH Black and white, and the father is a Siamese X. Does the mother of the kittens have to be Siamese to give birth to pointed kittens? I read somewhere that the Siamese mothers womb is so warm that it prevents color from going anywhere but the points. Any ideas??

Vader, I have no idea!!! But I'm going to move this thread for you to the breeders forum as someone there will be able to help you!

One of the parents has to be a pointed cat, or they both have to have points in the backgound to produce pointed kittens.

Thanks! I can't wait to see the "new girl" she'll be coming to my friend in about 2 weeks!
