My Cat Cleo is pregnant. We are really not sure how far along she is. We went away from June 23rd to July 23rd and I notice when we arrived home. She is normally a too herself type of animal only really wanting to be with people while they are sleeping. She sleeps on my son's feet but runs from him during his waking hours. It is 4:14am and she has woken me by meowing and wanting alot of attention. She has never done this before. Could the kittens be ready to come? I have no idea about it and I don't know what to look for. I have searched the web alittle and I have no idea where to turn. Thanks

Hi Helopoh, I don't really know alot about this subject, but there is a forum on this board that will be able to help you! We have lots of knowledgable people
so I will move this thread to the Health and Nutriton forum for you.

The one sign that I can remember to look for is "swelling" of the nipples, they will be very pink and quite obvious, she might also start looking for somewhere to "nest" - you need to make her a special place where she feels safe to have the babies, like a box with news paper in, or a washing basket or something similar that she can snuggle in and feel comfy.
Hopefully there will be others here who can help more than I can!!
Don' forget, that after she's had the babies, you should get her spayed to prevent any more "little accidents"!!
