It seems as though my foster kittens are extremly confused!
I was in the kitchen fixing up their food when I turned around and saw all 5 kittens in Fosters huge doggie food dish! I just stood there for a moment before I died laughing at them and got them out.
For some reason, the kittens think they are "large breed dogs" and must eat Pedigree Large Breed.
They can't even fit the kibbles in their mouths!
Kolar grabbed a little bone shapped kibble and ran off with it trying to chew it while he was running.
Those kittens do that every single time they're out! What is it with cats trying to eat dog food? lol. It's not like they're starving eithor.......I was fixing their food for them at the time they decided to get Fosters. And honestly- I could put their food down in the floor for them and Foster's dog food right beside them and they would go for the dog food every single time! (i don't let them do that) Those kittens are seriously confused!
Maybe dog food tastes better than kitten food?
I made them mad when I picked fosters food dish up and put it on the counter where they couldn't reach it lol. They were meowing at me and trying to climb the cabinents to get to it

Are you starving those babies ?
I have never had that problem but I used to alway's have it the other way around, My Basset will eat the wet cat food in a heart beat
Before we lost our other one he was the same way, Zoie is actually pretty good about not bothering the dry food and I have it in 3 different places but once in awhile she will eat it..Now I have seen a couple of the cats decide that it was ok to take that extra piece of meat on the plate on the counter but of course you know Zoie wound up with it, I figured she was telling them to go knock it off there
You better give those babies a BIGOLE dish of cat food

All I have are cats and it is inevitable (because of diet restrictions) that Much wants Lucy's and Lucy wants Much's. Carly will eat anything.

They just want what isn't theirs.

My cats all LOVE getting into the dry dog food. They just think they have hunted up a good treat. And I have an Akita (Misty), who is very territorial. She HATES when the kitties get her food, and even covers it sometimes. Her food is in the laundry room, and she will bury it under dirty laundry sometimes!

We had a kitty once who was trying to establish herself as alpha over Misty. She would walk around the edge of Misty's food bowl, as Misty had her head in the bowl. So Misty wouldn't move her head, knowing Scout would steal a kibble.

Silly kittens. I'm sure they are having a lovely time getting into the dog kibble.

My RB cat Glory used to steal dog bones and eat them. Olivia bats pieces that fall on the floor. None of the current cats at my parent's can get too near the dog food because Abby for some reason over the last few years has become guard dog when it comes to their food. Maybe someone was stealing it and we didn't know?

Uh oh...once a kitty has tasted dog food, they'll never want cat food again!
I had the hardet time keeping Lily out of the dog food, so I ended up free feeding her so she would stop eating it. She would attack the poor doggies(60 & 95 lbs) to steal their food...and they ran when the 3 month old Lily attacked!

lol, thanks for the funny stories everyone
. And for the record- there is one dish of dry kitten food, 3 dishes of soft kitten food, one dish of milk, and one dish of water with each feeding- lol they are definitely not "starved"
although they would definitely lead you on to believe so the way they go nuts over dog food lol. They're soo goofy! I wish I had my camera with me earlier when I cought all 5 of them in there....it was hysterical!

Oh yes, I almost forgot- they like Foster's dog toys better than their kitty toys as well!
So far they LOVE all of his rope toys, his big plush doggie bone, and -even his huge knong toy
even that one I don't get! lol, I really think that those kittens think they're puppies
Fosters just loves them too- he will hold them down with his paws and bathe them all - it's sooo sweet! I'll ask him where his kittens are and he'll run into the kitchen by their cage and lay down by it.
I've never seen a dog love kittens this much- it's soo cute! Maybe that's why they think they're doggies? Maybe they think Fosters is their daddy? lol.

That's great that Fosters takes such good care of them!!! It's really good that the kittens get used to dogs as well and can happily go into a dog friendly house - that's gotta really help them!

Our little Smudge is such a people cat, and I'm glad we have 2 other cats she can socialise with, otherwise she really wouldn't have known how to be a cat since she's been hand raised by humans since 2 weeks old!

And yes - Smudge loves eating the big cats dry food (which is suitable for kittens luckily), and Lily scoffs down Smudge's kitten food. As for the wet food, teeny Smudge will scoff hers down, then go to where Lily and Stumpy are eating (they share a bowl), and push BOTH OF THEM out of the way and scoff down their food as well while Lily and Stumpy look on!!

Cats really are just so funny

Oh I snapped pictures of my camera phone of them in the act! I cought them red pawed
I'm trying to upload them at the moment so I can post them (it's taking forever lol). I'll post them as soon as I upload them all and resize them
I finally put all of the little rascles up in their cage so that Fosters could eat HIS dog food
