Thank you, Miss Meowmy Kim, for that last post. I pray Kitters feels better every day!
I hear you on that, we all just don't feel good sometime!Originally Posted by jcat
I'm glad to hear she's doing so much better! Perhaps it was the cold and/or time change that had her out of sorts? I know there are days when I don't feel like getting out of bed, and Jamie has his moments, too.
I really quite agree with this a lot!Originally Posted by kluchetta
I think I forgot to give my theory to the group, but I did tell Jill this:
When we first got Nadette, it was December 5. She had her little paws shaved where they gave her the shots.Anyway she acted pretty normal for a couple of days, and then she became a total couch potato. All she really wanted to do was sleep - and with Smudge just having had FIP I was really scared. Enough so that I called the foster mother from the animal shelter to ask if she was normally so "laid-back". The lady didn't really remember her as being laid back, but just friendly. So we did some watchful waiting, and then after about 3 weeks (on Christmas Day) she got into it with a furry mouse, and really ran around and had some fun.
I really, really think it was the shots. Not that the shots are bad, but the stimulation of the immune system was just sending her a signal to lay low for a while.
I think it's working!!!!Originally Posted by batgirl2good

Update on my cute little booger. She's been coming out and asking daddy for food, and BIG improvement - she's down right got some spunk! She was grabbing at her blankee on a stick, and I was brushing her and she was rubbing all on it and rolling around! She's got energy! I'm so geeked! Still won't chase the toy but I say in a few days she's doing it!

Jill, I'm so pleased to read such a wonderful positive update! You and Kitters have really been through it and you're almost at the end!
You must feel like such a weight is being lifted from your shoulders - as must Kitters from having Mummy and Daddy checking on her all the time!
She just turned 6 in September. She is quite active most of the time. Though during the day she naps with dad often. She's up in the windows, and at 4am it's flight of the martix through the house off stuff. She has a toy hanigng from the cabinet handle in the kitchen that she will just run by and wack a dozen times or she has a big boucy ball that she plays soccer with through the house. Also her big stuffed animals are always out and about. She bites them and rabbit kicks their faces!! She's so vicious!Originally Posted by batgirl2good
How old is Kitters? That is great news!
I am so happy to hear she is better.
Shenandoah and Humble are 6 1/2. They are not really active. They chase and play some and seem to feel good, but they are nappers.
I am so glad she is better! I freak when either of my cats acts the least little bit different.Originally Posted by SillyJilly

When daddy's talking she has to go find him or if he cracks his knuckles it's an invite for petting!!! She wasn't doing any of that stuff!
