Not real good, it seems like she is having good days and bad days. She was getting a lot better last night, up and walking around, wide wide awake. Today she is sleeping more again and her paws seems to be achy again. She's really upsetting me!

I called today and they told me there is not anything they could suggest to me to help her or make her feel better, that I would need to bring her in, but as long as she's eating, drinking and going potty that I could probably wait until I get paid. But if anything changes I need to try and get her in earlier. My big problem is I'm broke. Way way broke. I have to pay rent and car insurance which I am scrapping together now. I'm scared and worried and pissed that they won't bill me or anything. It's $40 just to bring her in not including if they take blood or anything. I just wish I could do something now!

I keep trying to bargin with her, but she's being stubborn! She's so spoiled!

Thanks guys, Board vibes helped soo soo much last time when Kitters needed to get her spay, we were so glad when it just turned out to be cysts and not pyo. Hopefully they will help this time too! I've been doing a lot of research and let me tell you, someof it makes me think it's going to be alright and some of it scares the crap out of me. I'm a wreck! (I worry about everything all the time, but this is stressing me out beyond normal) I went over to the neighbors tonight and worked out for 30 mins and it helped me to take my mind off of it for a little bit, but as soon as we fininshed I had to run home to make sure she was still ok. hubbys been watching her non-stop too!

She's awake but not playing or moving around a lot, she ate her pouch and came back to bed. She's laying here next to me so I can keep a good close eye on her. She's not vomited, not had diareah, etc. Just sleeps a lot and sometimes acts like her feet hurt. I can't find anything with symptoms like that on the web anywhere. There are no cuts or sores on her feet, the temp is normal, no scabs or bruises or swelling. It's just ticking me off to not be able to help her more right now! Anyone willing to mail a vet to my house free of charge?

Still been searching the web and found this site that talks about arthritis. This sounds a bit like it. The Traumatic Arthritis (Sprain) could be her. She could have sprained it jumping out of her bed. Being colder does seem to bother her more than being warmer. So I've been keeping her covered up. She seems better later at night, which that doesn't say but.... Just reaching I guess. We'll see. She's been hanging out by me but been awake most of the time.

you could make her a rice warmer & see if she likes that. just fill a fabric bag with some raw rice & heat it in the microwave till it's hot. then set it down & see if she wants to sit/stand/lie on it.
rice is cheap, & you can make the bag from rags or old clothes, like a t-shirt or something. i made some last year for my ferals.

I will try that. Right now she has been in the bathroom curled up in the clothes bag and I have been covering her up with a "very cute" shirt of mine that is warm. And when she is in the room with me I cover her too!

She is doing better today. Did call the vet again and even though she is drinking I am worried she isn't getting all the fluids she should so we are going to get her pedialite. She got tuna juice this evening as a treat which she always scarfs right down. She did that as usual.
She seems real good today, still not regular Kitters but better. I think board vibes are starting to work their magic! I love you guys! You all helped me through a rough night last night. I was just losing it! Thanks everyone!

Well, those are both vibes that I need!!!

Got the pedialite this morning before I came to work and hubby said she drank some on her own and then he gave her another dropper full after cuz it said 2-4 ml per pound and now that she's 7 lbs!!!
and she didn't drink enough on her own. It's looking good though!

I wouldn't feel right accepting money from anyone here anyways, but I will always take the thoughts from you guys!!!

When I talked to hubby last he said he gave her two dropperfuls of the pedialite at 12:30. Haven't talked to him in quite awhile as you can tell since it's 7pm now!! I get out at 8 and will let you guys know how she's doing. It's driving me nuts not knowing how she's doing every second! (darn mommy's!)

Hopefully with her medicine, she'll be right on the track to mending!

Things are looking up! Last night when daddy was giving her lovin's and he pulled his hand away and she had to grab his hand and pull it back to keep petting. That's the Kitters I know!! Also, after I got some more pedialite in her and fed her again she walked to her potty, went potty, then walked to the bedroom, layed down with daddy and slept a while, moved over next to me then left the room and was sleeping in the bathroom laundry again this morning. What she had been doing was sleeping in the one spot and not moving until morning! Also she has no pain in her feet when walking or me touching them. Also this morining, when I was cleaning her bowl and getting her a new pouch of food she came out on her own and was waiting for me to put it down. I have been bringing her out to eat. Also when i just called home to check on her, the landlord was there fixing the water heater pipe, hubby was going to wait until the landlord left and she heard him talking and came out on her own and asked for more food!!!
She's doing so much better! I am going to keep giving her the pedialite for another day atleast to just keep her boosted but I think that is definatly helping boost her up so her immune sytem kicks in fully!!!
I've got to stop tonight and get her more food pouchs and litter, but it's so great that she's improving quickly now.

Thanks for all the thoughts guys! It's really helped me a ton!

I'm glad to hear she's doing so much better! Perhaps it was the cold and/or time change that had her out of sorts? I know there are days when I don't feel like getting out of bed, and Jamie has his moments, too.

I think I forgot to give my theory to the group, but I did tell Jill this:

When we first got Nadette, it was December 5. She had her little paws shaved where they gave her the shots.
Anyway she acted pretty normal for a couple of days, and then she became a total couch potato. All she really wanted to do was sleep - and with Smudge just having had FIP I was really scared. Enough so that I called the foster mother from the animal shelter to ask if she was normally so "laid-back". The lady didn't really remember her as being laid back, but just friendly. So we did some watchful waiting, and then after about 3 weeks (on Christmas Day) she got into it with a furry mouse, and really ran around and had some fun.

I really, really think it was the shots. Not that the shots are bad, but the stimulation of the immune system was just sending her a signal to lay low for a while.
