I just saw this too.

I'm sorry Jake has been sick again
But I'm happy that he seems to be feeling a bit better now and hope he keeps on feeling better.

I've just seen this!

I hope Jake continues to make positive progress and he gains the weight he needs from eating much more!

Many Health and Healing }}}VIBES{{{ to Jake and
to you both

Thanks everyone. I'm just hoping he continues on this path of improvement from here and starts eating even more! (And playing again)

Jake is in the hospital today.
Although he is eating better, he was starting to hide again so I took him in last night. He is a little yellow so they wanted to give him IV fluids and antibiotics and do a few more tests. I pick him up this afternoon at 6:30 P.M.

Thanks guys. I'm really worried about him. They said the first test they would do is for feline lukemia and AIDS. If it were positive they'd call me first and not proceed with treatment. So since they haven't called me I assume that was negative. I still think their first assesment was correct. That he got stressed from when the kitten was here and it's the lupus. He probably got Hepatic Lipidosis when he was not eating much. I was force feeding him though. So I don't know. They sent out a test for FIP but I don't know much about that. Maybe one of you can answer a couple questions. Since he's not an outside cat, could he still get this? And if he did have it, could he pass it to Peaches and Jazzy? Well, I don't think he has that anyway but I just want to be prepared for anything. about 3 1/2 hrs left before I can pick him up.

Come on Jake, get up and drive your mother nuts.....or I'll send Tammy-Timmy over there and then none of you will ever be the same again.

I picked up the Jakester. He looks some better already and as soon as we walked in the door, he went to his food bowl. They want him to come back tomorrow and get more IV fluids all day so I'm taking him in the morning. Everyone fell in love with him. I had no doubt they would! He's a sweet lover boy. This is getting expensive and they know I'm running low on cash so they are only charging me for the anti biotics and $15 for the fluids tomorrow. I thought that was nice of them. Today they waived some of the other fees so for yesterday and today it was a whopping $480. Yikes! I hope Jakey appreciates it because I won't be eating this week!
Oh well, he's worth every penny. Of course, as I expected, the Lukemia/AIDS test was negative. The FIP is a send out so I won't know about that till next week.

Well, that's at least some good news. The bills must be pinching, but decent of the vet to waive some of the fees. Fingers crossed for the rest of Jake's results
. Please give that sweet boy scritches from me, and licks from the girls.

Aww, fingers crossed he continues to improve, and I am glad that some of the tests so far have come back negative.
