You are a good meowmie. I'm glad Jake is ok, and the kittens are old enough to manage without Reilly. I really really hope she calms down soon!

Also...is there any possibility she could stay with someone else temporarily? Someone with no other pets or kids, so the home is really quiet (not like my house!) Then she can calm down and recover from whatever is bothering her, but in a few weeks she can come home to her loving family?
That's what's bothering us also. She was a little moody before she even got pregnant. But not this violent. We just chaulked it up to being a woman

I have thought about having her stay with friends or family but EVERYONE I know has pets... literally everyone. Or they are allergic. She is scheduled to be spayed in a month and that's when they were going to do more testing but now they're worried that it might make her worse

O-H-I-O!
I am just catching up to this. I am so sorry for all this! I would definately want to know if she will be like this after her spay. I was thinking too that maybe the stress of having the kittens made her snap? Whatever you decision, we are all here for you. Sending mega-huge vibes

I'm worried sick about her
What about ovarian cysts? Beckiboo posted something about Eeyore and several members mentioned problems with cysts that were found during the spay. I don't know if that is something that would show up in blood work.

But what I'm wondering is: could something like that just throw her hormones totally out-of-whack? I just find it interesting that it is showing up about the time many cats go back into heat after the kittens are born.

I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for poor Reilley. It sounds like she doesn't even know what is right & what is wrong. Poor baby scared & confused...she didn't even trust meowmy!

I believe he said they are going to look for that tomorrow also.

I asked him about her being in heat and he said she doesn't have any signs of it right now.

It's breaking my heart right now. The babies are wandering around the house calling for her. I am going to give them some KMR and soft food and let them cuddle up with my HUGE tiger I have in my room. They love that thing. It's about 5 feet long. Almost the size of a real tiger and I can't count the times I've went in the bedroom and all 4 of them are sleeping on it. Cooter even tries to to nurse on it sometimes

She acted like she didn't even know who I was this afternoon. She usually headbutts and meows hello at me.

Maybe because of what happened at the vet when she was supposedly spayed, tramatized her and she remembers it?
I totally love and trust the new vet. He's awesome with all my animals. He calls me the Animal Lady
I have taken in the kitties, the dog, and the birds all in one week
He's actually thinking of adopting Daisy. He fell in love with her and felt so bad because she had 4 tough brothers she had to defend herself from
and said he would love to have her so she could be a dainty little flower like she is!

Oh how sweet! (little Daisy!)

I pray everything works out with Reilly. I really hope it is something that can be simply fixed, poor girl must be feeling awful. I'm glad Jake will be ok too!

Jake is going to be ok. He's sitting under my desk, begging for Dortios

He is a little leery of the kittens now. They will try to chase his tail and he cowers. He was a little skeptical of them before but not to he point he whines like he does now but he'll be fine. He's still best friends with Tiger. As soon as we walked in the house, he greeted Tiger with a warming lick and Tiger rolled over so Jake could "bite" him
(Don't worry, he just mouths him and Tiger LOVES it)

Awww! Sounds like Abby and Pumpkin! Abby will put Pumpkin's head in his mouth and just hold it for a second, then lick him! Pumpkin grabs Abby's head and bathes her ears and eyes and the top of her head.

It is so sad thinking of the little ones wandering around lost.

Yeap. That's what they do. They used to hate each other but they are best friends now. It cracks me up. They will chase each other around like they are brothers. Tiger will lay there and wait for Jake to bite him. When he does he grabs his head and does the rabbit kick.
and that gets Jake going!

They seem to have calmed down. They are all in a big pile with the surrogate mom... my bengal tiger

The vet just called (they're 24hours there, that's why I love them)

Reilly just bit a tech.
They were changing her litter and checking her food and she attacked the tech. The vet said this is NOT good news...she's growling and hissing violently. They had to sedate her to move her to an isolation cage. The vet told me that if this behaviour continues over the night, they might be forced to PTS Reilly.
OMG what am I going to do?!?!?

besides they have to ask for your consent first.
I am so truly sorry.
My heart is breaking for you.

They have her sedated right now. This makes 2 people in less then 24 hours she's attacked. They might be forced by Animal Control. The vet said he wasn't going to report her biting me earlier. And they expect to be bitten in a vets office but this was a flat out attack. She was asleep when the tech opened the door and when Reilly woke up she turned and attacked her. Apparently the girl was hurt pretty badly. She has to go to the ER and they do HAVE to report this..

I'm at a total loss.............
