Are they REALLY beautiful?

You're a guy, right? I have seen that video before. It's revealing (and not in the way one would expect ). You must be an incredibly sensitive and overall great guy to be able to see through that kind of media manipulation. I commend you and thank you for being different!

I've met quite a few models in my time; I've hair modeled for the salon I go to since college. I can tell you this for sure. They don't look good without makeup, hair extensions, and a crew of people picking out their clothes. This video really shows what goes on at a photo shoot. If you think this is distorted, try looking at a picture of yourself all done up like that. You won't recognize what you see.

Just the reason I don't wear makeup. I think it makes people look way too fake.

Everyone on a daily basis is bombarded with false advertising - especially from the beauty industry. Buy this mascara so your lashes will be 10x their length!!! Buy this lipstick and look like Cindy Crawford!!! Use this eye cream and never have a wrinkle again!!!

I always think it's important for everyone to see the truth behind the pictures. I applaud Dove for doing this movie and campaign. They are listening to the conscience of their consumers.

I've seen that movie clip before....quite the eye opener.

man i was the lighting guys for a couple of the miss ohio shows,
they never looked as good in person as they did on stage.

When i was at kent state one of my friends was playmate of the month.
when she was showing us her shots, she asked what i thought. i told her the truth,
if you looked that good in real life i would date you. The stuff they did, both in person and just buy playing with the shot, she no longer looked real.

But really i was reading some place where the same type of stuff is starting to effect young men.

I know the wonders of make up and what it can do for you, after all, have you ever seen Oprah sans Make up? She doesn't even look like the same woman. However, what really bothers me, is that they use computer enhancements to change the bone structure of the model. Now, THAT is dishonest. They actually enhance the model WAY beyond what the make up can do.

I saw that ad before. I think it is great that they are trying to show women that models really don't look like that. So many young girls try to put on all that make up and look like models. That is not reality!

I have seen that before, I think it's great! I also heard that one of the Fashion Weeks (Germany or Spain, I don't remember which one) wouldn't let any models walk whose height-to-weight ratios didn't meat or exceed the National Health Standard for a healthy person. I think that is extremely commendable.

I have to say though that, that mayballine mascara does make my eyelashes about tripple the size bigger when i apply it and I LOVE ITTTTTTTT!!

I use to work in the fasion industry and has been in many photoshoots, model casting..etc. They are totally different before and after. I call these models 15 FEET BEAUTY. After they get closer than 15 feet, they are NOT good looking at all. Too much make up...etc.

I have seen Carmen Electra and Pamala Anderson up close and man.....I do not want to do that again...Gave the nightmares....

That movie does make me feel a little better about myself

I don't wear makeup either - and when I do for very, very, very special occassions, nobody recognises me...fun tho, to see the double take or when they recognise the voice but not you!
