I admit, I have a strange obsession with collars. Everytime I see a cute cat collar at big W I try to buy it. Ceci now has 3 different collars, a purple rhinestone, a flowery adjustable one,a nd a blue paw print adjustable.

The thing is, none of them fit her! They are supposed to be for neck 8-12 (or 14) and they are just too big, she has a tiny neck! The only one she can actually wear is the purple rhinestone and only because its a buckle collar and I made a hole further up.

I dont like for her to have that one on because theres a big flap thats left and I dont want her chewing on it, but she must wear a collar, im terrified of her getting out!

Are there any collars that are smaller than this? I know dog collars come much smaller but they arent breakaway so that wouldnt be an option.

I have the same problem with my Ginger, LOL...she is only 8 pounds and has a tiny neck - I see these really cool collars and bring them home only to find that they are WAAAAY too big, LOL.

Just keep looking, there are smaller sizes available - I have to go with the kitten sizes for my girl.

I'm hoping Ferris gets big enough to wear some of the ones I bought for her that are too big. At 5 months old, he's almost as big as she is now!

the ragtime ones are great! you might also try the Beastie Bands - they can be cut to fit

Lol! Ceci is approximately 8-9 months old, and she is a fat cat! I mean I am seriously considering starting a diet plan with her. Her neck does not match her body at all

I think I will have to order her collars online, until she decides to let some of that fat travel to her neck...lol

And to think, I saw this AWSOME Garfield collar and tag online, but I know it will be way too big

I used to have that problem with Zebra until I just bought a collar that buckles and cut off the excess. I used to have a breakaway collar that fit her good, but she destroyed it by scratching it with her claws. I got it at Canadian Tire for about $6

We've had this problem too, with Patch. He's only a kitten and his neck is tiny! I can fit my finger and thumb around his neck, and I have really small hands (my next door neighbour whos 6 has the same size hands LOL).

I'm going to look at some of those links posted, thanks.
