G'day cat lovers

I'm just writing to let you know that I will soon become a foster mum for orphaned and abandoned kittens 0-8 weeks old. It's not quite kitten season over here yet but I thought I'd use this forum to post pics and updates about the kittens, if anyone would be interested. I'm getting in as much sleep as I can between now and when the kittens come because after that, it's going to be all systems go!
But I'm VERY excited! lol Any comments or advice would be very much appreciated.

Of course we would be interested in seeing pics and having updates! Bless you for taking in these babies and being mommy to them. I have helped a friend care for little orphans, and I know it is not an easy task. Good Luck with your little ones.

I second that! We are definitely interested in seeing pics and getting updates on how you and the kittens are doing. Most of us don't have kittens around, so we have to live vicariously through the ones here who do. Good luck with the new kitten mommy position!

Good for you! It is a very rewarding experience.
We have done this for 4 kits. They will keep you busy AND up at night for feedings ~ but the joy outweighs the loss of sleep.

Thankyou for all your kind words and your wishes of luck. I am soooo ready, now I just have to sit tight and wait, lol. I've been doing a lot of reading on the net about caring for the little ones and my vet will teach me how to tube feed when the time comes. I have a 1 year old female cat, Popcorn who treats her toys like kittens - dragging them around in her mouth and putting them in her 'nest', so she might show an interest in the kittens and maybe even take over toileting duties for me, you never know! lol The vet said yesterday that the time for kittening is near so I probably won't have long to wait...

I got a snugglepet for the little ones today, even though they're not here yet. :tounge2: Click here if you haven't heard about these wonderful toys.
