I have a Persian female that has never had kittens before. She hasn't seemed to have any interest in the male Persian even though he's constantly chasing after her and mounting her but she has always wiggled out from under him and smacked him (that I've seen). However, this horndog male Persian has totally stopped trying to mount her and basically now ignores her. Could he finally have succeeded in getting the job done?

Along with this my female Persian has had some attitude changes and wonder if this is a result of her changing hormones.

So anyone in here familiar with Persians can give me your thoughts on this? I do plan to take her to the vet in a week or so to see.

If you've never witnessed a complete mating between the two, she's probably NOT pregnant. And she may be out of heat if his interest is not great.

Are you caging them together? Or letting them run free and breed?

Also, if you don't know for sure when they mated (if they did), it would be hard to tell when she's really pregnant and when delivery date will be.

If she comes into heat again, cage them and witness the breeding to be sure its complete.
