I hate airplanes!

I'm as nervous as a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs! My parents are flying in from Rome Italy tonight. I hate airplanes and flying. They were due in at 9:15 but had a 30 min delay in NY. I haven't seen my parents in 10 days and frankly.........I WANT MY MOMMY!

They scare me to death! I've only been on one trip. It was from FLA to Iowa and then Iowa to St Louis to Fla... It scared the living daylights outta me!
I dont like boats either. I like my to be on solid ground

I don't like planes either. There's a base just south of town--I can see it from my house. There are planes flying over 24/7. In 1954, a TCA (Trans-Canada Airlines) crashed with a Harvard and landed on my friend's house. 35 or so people died. To make it even worse, last summer I was at the air show here in town and two biplanes crashed and both pilots died.

I'm with Miss Mew - I love flying and I particularly love the small planes. My BIL is a pilot and even though he doesn't take us up very often, I love it when he does.

Well I know thier plane landed at 9:45 at Tampa International. They are taking an airport limo home. So I figure with baggage claim, catching the limo and the drive home, they should be at thier house in about 30 mins from now Of course, I'm not going to bed until I talk to them

They're home! And they have lots of gifts for us!

I get so nervous when anyone I know is flying.
She told me they bought us all necklaces from the vatican, a couple italian leather hats (that will be put up and never worn only for keepsakes) and She also got me some french perfume... ooh la la

Glad they made it home okay!

I'm a very nervous flyer too, but that doesn't stop me from going.......I just try and think of something else while up there soaring through the blue skies.......

only part that makes me nervous is that someone else besides myself is flying the plane.

I have never been on a plane, so I don't know if I like them or not

I'm glad you parents made it home okay...I sent my mom, two sisters and a niece to the airport this am - they're off to India for a 10 day shopping holiday!

I love flying, my annual holiday starts as soon as i set foot in the departure airport. I can understand why people are afraid to fly though, my dad lost all his family (except 1 sister who didnt go) in a plane crash. Although he's not over excited about it, he still fly's.
I suppose if you think about the bad things that can happen to you, you would never do anything.

If they would start off the evening news with how many people die in car accidents each day, the news of a plane crash would not be as dramatic.

For some perspective, think of how many people you know that have been in car accidents. Now think of how many people you know that have been in plane crashes.

I dont mind big planes but I hate small ones. My uncle can fly the 2 person planes and I went up with him one time and I was terrified.
