For the first time ever, I just made some homemade corn bread. We shall see how it turns out. I'll just say this, it got done faster than I thought it would.

My MIL told me the secret to making WONDERFUL cornbread.I don't care for it myself.But, my family eats 2 pans of it.

I love homemade cornbread. We found the best cornbread is to use a cast-iron skillet. Heat it in the oven until it is really hot, wipe it with some oil, then pour in the batter. It takes about 10 minutes to cook and is so tasty when it comes out.
