my cat won't play??????

my kitten, Slinky won't play with the other animals. When watching them all i can see is tht tey just want to play with her. She doesn't know how to play. I try to put her on the living room floor even when my other cat and two dogs aren't around but yet she won't stay there, she just jumps back on the couch. even when she is all by herself all she does is lay on a couch or bed, rarely does she ever go on the floor for any reason except to eat or use the litter box. should i be alarmed or is it just a phase?

How old is the kitten?

Try things like feather on a stick, laser light.. etc. I dont know many cats that wont play with those things. Maybe she is not comfortable yet around other animals.

my kitten is 4 months old and she'll play with people but she won't play with the other animals yet but i know thats because she may not be used to them yet but also she won't walk anywhere, all she does is run to high place like the peak of a couch or chair. she's afraid to bve on the floor and thats what worrying me

Did you introduce her slowly to your other animals? You must keep them seperated and slowly introduce them by letting them smell each other under a door crack, or swapping scents between them like blankets etc. And then do short 5 minute meetings. You cant just throw them together. That's probably why she doesnt want to be on the floor because the dogs (?) are there and she knows they cant get her if she goes up high.
