I Can't Take Much More......

I AM GOING CRAZY!!!!! I just dont understand it. My 2 cats whom I have had for a long time are going to the bathroom on my NEW LIVING ROOM FLOOR!!! But they only pee when there is something left on the floor (like blankets, or a shirt i left of the floor for the dogs to rip up). Then it goes through themonto the floor..

Also, When my furnace runs in my house they meow like they are scared or soemthing but then after about 30 seconds they are fine..What is that all about..

PLEASE SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME..I AM GOING INSANE!!!

Is this a new house, or did you just replace the floor? If this is a new house, I would confine them to the bathroom with the litterbox so that they can readapt to using it. I would also take them to the vet to be sure they don't have urinary tract infections. While they are confined, use an enzymatic cleaner to thoroughly clean the spots on the floor where they have peed--even if they have peed on something, it could have soaked through.

As for being scared of the furnace--it's pretty normal. In time, they will likely adapt when they realize that the big noise is nothing to be scared of.
