Wow I amaze myself at how stupid I am sometimes...

The one and only key to my beloved car is lost somewhere between my car and my apartment. I cannot find it. Of course it is the only key. OF COURSE. I only had it off the key ring because it was at my dads a few days so he could replace the brake pads. I picked it up drove it home and should have at that time put it on the keychain, but no. I do not know where it is. It could be in the grass out front. If it is inside, either one of my many cats carried it off or played with it right under the stove or fridge. I called that apartment office and no one turned one in yet. Now my car is just sitting there, I can get into it but I can't drive it
This sucks. I was going to take the kids I babysit to the circus on Thursday too. I don'y know where else to look.

Have you retraced your steps? Could you have stuck it in a coat pocket? Stop berating yourself and fix a nice cup of hot tea. Relax and the key will come to you.

Yeah, I had almost the same thing happen a couple weeks ago, except it was the house key that I had taken off the key chain and it mysteriously disapperaed between my car and front door- was locked out for an hour and a half

Doesn't that agrravate us all when we lose our keys? Retrace your steps again and again and you'll find it! Don't give up Jen!

Did you check the inside of your car right by the door and the sides of the seats?? I hope you find it.
