5. I enjoy grocery shopping-I could spend alot of time in a grocery store just carefully looking at all the products they sell, however I don't buy most of them!!
6. At my wedding, my cousin and her husband gave us a personal check as a wedding gift-the check "bounced" twice and ended up costing me money!!

1) I write fantasy novels.

2) I'm addicted to City of Heroes/City of Villains, and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (computer games).

3) I'm vitamin B12 deficient and have to take supplements. I don't absorb it naturally from food.

4) I can speak and read French, but never learned to properly write it (despite taking French all through school). Because I never use it, my written French is only getting worse.

5) My family doesn't celebrate Valentine's Day. My paternal great-grandfather was declared MIA on February 14, during WWII, and my Nana (his daughter) refused to have anything to do with that date.

I'll give it a go...sorry, probably over the limit of 5 too...some of us are too self-absorbed!

1. I love Judge Judy and People's Court and will sometimes leave work early to watch them as I can never bother to learn how to set the timer on my VCR.

2. I collect anything 50's for the kitchen.. from Fiesta ware or casserole dishes to diner tables to glasses to drink mixers. I also collect 50's pinup calendars and prints and a couple fave artists are Elvgren and Petty. (the result is that some people think I have alot of tacky junk including DBF)

3. My mum died one year ago and up until that point, nothing has compared to that pain. I feel like screaming at people to hug and love their mothers more (like only people like us have this awful secret or something).

4. My favourite dinner is loads of different appetizers.

5. I was first diagnosed with Panic disorder with agoraphobia when I was 13.
It's under control now and without medication (many years of being on it).

6. My fingernails are so badly chewed that the only thing that will make me stop is having gel nails put over my real ones.

7. I used to be a drug addict.

8. I am moving to Vancouver (west coast of Canada) in 6 weeks.

9. I am afraid of heights so much that I can't even climb a 6 ft. ladder.

10. I have a BA in Psychology.

Susie, you stole a Twinkie???
That is hilarious! I was fully expecting you to say a bag of nuts or something like that, not a twinkie

Okay now a new rule after you have posted you can wait until someone posts their 5 and then post 5 more things just no back posting the things about you.
1. I love old looking through old pictures of my family.
2. I was a bit of a loner in school and I didn't really care for being popular but always had my animals around me.
3. When I was a kid I asked my dad for a reindeer for Christmas and I got a jewelry box and it had the salt stuff in it and I thought it was reindeer food and I ran outside and looked for a reindeer.

4. I have one sister and I love her so much and my niece too
5. Family is everything to me and that includes my animals.
6. I see my mom from time to time but she wasn't involved in my life she doesn't even know what color eyes I have or that I don't like onions except when cooked in soup and stuff like that so I tell people to be glad when their parents want to be a part of their lives. Mine was too busy living the way she wanted to. And I am still bothered by it but I do think about it like this God sent me down the road he did because that's what shaped me into the person I am and I like being me. I happen to think I am a good person.
7. I am also very clumsy

2. I have rhotacism (difficulty in pronouncing the letter r) and dyscalculia (difficulty in basic addition and subtraction). My mother and one of my brothers have difficulty speaking certain consonants/words as well.
3. I'm a spelling/grammar freak.
4. My great uncle died in Holland in WWII and has a lake named after him in northern Saskatchewan (Salaba Lake).
5. Everyone in my family is under 5'5". I'm 5'3".

Fun I like the new ammendment to the rules
Here's 5 more things about me:

1. I hate mayonnaise!

2. I have a slight obsession with shoes & victorias secret! (but I never buy things that I can't afford, and only buy things with cash
)

3. I have more stomach/digestive issues than a person should ever have to deal with at my age
(severe GERD, Hiatial Hernia, IBS -spaztic colon, gastroparesis, lactose intolerance, and oh yes, my pancreas doesn't produce enough enzymes to digest my food properly- so I have to take Creon with everything I eat...fun fun...)

4. I am a total mutt puppy
- First off i'm an American- but ethnically,I'm Russian, Irish, Danish, Polish, & Cherokee

5. I LOVE to learn about Western Music History and just History in general!!! I'm a total history buff!! (but in a sexy libarian way, not a nerdy way
)

This is a fun thread!!

1. I'm missing one of my top front teeth, and it's been missing since I was about 7. I wear a plate with a tooth on it, and am getting an titanium screw inserted into my jaw on Friday so I can eventually get a permanent false tooth. Eww to the surgery on Friday though....
2. I was 16 when I graduated from high school
3. I went travelling when I was 18 for a bit over a year
4. When I was a kid I gave my hired softball knickerbocker thingys back to the school, and they thought I was selling them back to the school, and gave me cash for them. I didn't correct them - I took the $20 and my friend and I gorged ouselves with lollies from the local corner store for the next few weeks.

5. I have a brother who nearly died about 8 years ago. He was riding his motorbike, and someone plowed into him. He died on scene, and they were able to bring him back, and an ambo on scene diagnosed a punctured lung, and was able to keep that under control, which saved his life. Even when he got to hospital they thought he was a lost cause when they were working on him. They told us if he lived, he'd never walk again, and he's alive and well and able to walk fine!

Tell me about it!! It was at the time I was overseas, and everyone kept telling me he was fine, I didn't need to come home, and he just needed time to recuperate, all the while not knowing if he was even going to live. I was so angry when I came home and found out how bad he really was, and that nobody had told me. I hated that I wasn't there for my family and nobody gave me the opportunity to make that decision for myself.

He was really messed up - head injuries, many broken bones, internal injuries... He was really angry at the world because of it, so my poor mum was looking after her 20 year old independent son who hated the world, but had to have his mum help him go to the toilet, shower, get everywhere, and he was so angry and just took it out on her. My mum's always been a single mother (my dad died when I was 4), and so was working full time to survive as well. I breaks my heart that I wasn't there for her
She's amazingly strong though, and my hero

I am also glad to hear that your brother came out okay and coming from a very headstrong family, and that is putting it very nicely, I do understand the independance thing. But its hard dealing with things like that and I am glad your mother handled it well but that's what parents do for their children. Tell your mother that a silly little hillbilly from Kentucky said God Bless Her.

Your mother sounds like quite a strong, incredable woman.
