cats love it, but now i got informed that the egg can contain a salmonella virus
i buy only expensive organic eggs

My personal opinion is that it is unwise to give cats much in the way of human food. They don't need the eggs so I wouldn't give them any and thus avoid any concern about salmonella.

Raw egg white is not good for cats, it contains a protein that interferes with the absorption of biotin, raw yolks, or whole, cooked eggs are ok in moderation.

Radar occasionally gets a bit of cooked egg yolk as a treat (try keeping him off the plate
), but I wouldn't feed them raw. Organic eggs are just as likely to carry salmonella as any other sort of eggs, just as organic chicken is still as likely as any other to give you salmonella if it isn't cooked properly.

Several vets have told me that while egg yolks are good as a treat or as a food supplement when sick, uncooked whites are not, so I only give them the yolks sometimes.
