That is what my nine year old nephew asked me last night and I told him it was an ugly cat. He then told me that he had never seen an ugly cat to which I said, and now you understand the meaning of oxymoron!

Its where you have a phrase or thing like jumbo shrimp that doesn't make sense. jumbo means big and shrip is small.
