WBCL and cleaning the box.

Because you simply scoop and flush the clumps, you never have to “dump†(and waste) the entire contents of the litter box

Is this really true? Do you not have to dump the whole contents when cleaning the box itself? Feedback from other WBCL users will be appreciated.

No cat litter lasts indefinitely. I use clumping litter (not WBCL, but a similarly organic flushable brand). I scoop at least twice daily and change the entire box once a month. Yes, you need to dump the contents when cleaning the box.

I do the same ... I cant imagine the bacteria leval just from the side spray with going over a month

I have one cat and a box on each floor of my house (three) I scoop once daily. By using WBCL multi cat formula I completely change the litter less than every other month, that's when it all goes and I disinfect the boxes, dry them and refill with new litter. I have no cat smell whatsoever and except for the one time my cat had a UTI, she always uses the boxes. WBCL is amazing !!

I scoop WBCL daily and on weekends sometimes twice daily. About every 2-3 days I add a cup or so of fresh litter to the box. I clean the whole thing completely (including dumping the old litter) about every 6 weeks.

The odor isn't bad and I suppose if I were strapped for money, I would consider re-using the old litter because it has had fresh added to it on a regular basis but for now (and while I can afford it) I change the whole thing out completely.

I use WBCL as well -- 2 cats (one is a kitten), 3 boxes (but they only use one) and I scoop 2x/day, replace about once every month and a half or so. It never smells, I probably wouldn't even need to replace it, but I feel kinda gross about putting old litter back in after disinfecting the box.

I use Fresh Step clumbal and i scoop everday. i add more each time. I a dump every 1 month or so.
I have a scopper how often should i clean that. how often should i get new litterbox and scopper?

I personally dont think you'd have to get a new litterbox and scooper if you disinfect regularly.

When you dump the old litter clean out the box with bleach and water and that should take care of the bacteria.

Id only get a new box and scooper if they were looking worn (Ceci's box is in the bathroom so everyone sees it)
